Farming is a complex business which involves managing variables such as weather, soil and crop inputs to ultimately maximize yield and minimize waste and cost. The webinar will explore how our planet's future food needs will be met with the aid of agricultural robots, driverless tractors and UAS.

 

PANELISTS:

Demoz Gebre-Egziabher is on the faculty of aerospace engineering & mechanics department at Demoz Gebre-Egziabher is on the faculty of aerospace engineering & mechanics department at The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, USA where teaches and conducts PNT-related research.

Mel Torrie has a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University and is founder and CEO of Autonomous Solutions, Inc.

Benjamin Schilling is director of sales at NovAtel Inc. and is responsible for managing the company’s global agriculture business. He has spent the last 15+ years working with machine control and GNSS businesses within the precision ag industry.

His focus in agriculture stems from roots on a large fruit and vegetable farm in the Midwest US. Schilling has since coupled that background with an interest in innovative technologies and a passion to expand the adoption of precision technology and improved practices into the agricultural industry globally
