RTK Base/Rover Setup Using RTCA

The following configuration will set up a base station and remote rover for both pseudorange-differential and RTK using the RTCA differential correction format. These setups assume radio modems are connected to COM2 on both GPS receivers. Commands should be entered using COM1. The GPS receiver will lose the configuration when power is cycled to the unit, or if the GPS receiver is reset for any reason. If you want to make the GPS receiver remember these settings you can use the SAVECONFIG command to save the configuration to NVRAM.

Base Station:

===========

FIX POSITION lat long hgt (hgt is geoid/MSL height)

LOG COM2 RTCA1 ONTIME 5

LOG COM2 RTCAOBS2 ONTIME 1

LOG COM2 RTCAREF ONTIME 10

LOG COM2 RTCAEPHEM ONTIME 10,1 (optional)

COM COM2 19200 N 8 1 N OFF

INTERFACEMODE COM2 NONE RTCA OFF

SAVECONFIG (optional)

Remote Rover:

============

COM COM2 19200 N 8 1 N OFF

INTERFACEMODE COM2 RTCA NONE OFF

LOG COM1 BESTPOSA ONTIME 1 (optional, but lets you monitor the position type)

SAVECONFIG (optional)

If you want to only do pseudorange-differential, then only output RTCA1 at the Base Station. If you want to do RTK, then do not output RTCA1 at the Base Station.
