Querying a receiver's configuration relative to factory defaults

Querying a receivers configuration relative to factory defaults

METHOD 1: By looking at the RXSTATUS log

1. Obtain the default configuration of the RXSTATUS log
a) Return a receiver to factory defaults by sending the command FRESET
b) Wait for the receiver to come back from reset, then send the command LOG RXSTATUS
c) Copy the output of this command into a text file.

2. Obtain the configuration on a specific receiver

a) Connect to the receiver and send the command LOG RXSTATUS
b) Copy the output of this command into a text file and compare it with the text file in step 1.c above.
c) NOTE: There are 3rd party text compare utilities Beyond Compare which allow you to compare the difference between two files, making the comparison process easier.

METHOD 2: By looking at the output of the LOGLIST, COMCONFIG and other commands

This method requires you know some information about what commands were sent to the receiver to configure it.

1. Obtain what logs the receiver is logging using the command LOG LOGLIST
a) Send the command: LOG LOGLIST to the receiver and observe what logs the receiver is configured to output.

c) If you know specific commands you usually send to configure the receiver, you can log the current settings of these commands.
For example, to log the status of the SBASCONTROL command. Send the command LOG SBASCONTROL. In the below example, SBAS has been disabled.
