DL-V3 Base Station Configuration (RTCM1)

Q.] What are the correct commands to configure a DL-V3 as Base transmitting RTCM1?

A.] When you power up your DL-V3, press the red power button to cause the DL-V3 to boot up. Using a simple terminal program (such as HyperTerminal), connect to the COM1 port at 9600 baud, N81, no handshaking/flow control. If you're using HyperTerminal and would like to see what you're typing, go: File->Properties->Settings->ASCII Setup->Echo Typed Characters Locally The DL-V3's POWERUP group will be running (default), so let's stop it using this command:

GROUPUSE STOP POWERUP

Now we are free to edit the POWERUP group parameters. Let's clear the existing POWERUP using this command:

GROUP DEL POWERUP

Now, let's recreate a POWERUP group that will cause the DL-V3 to behave as a base station transmitting RTCM1 on startup:

GROUP ADD POWERUP

GROUPCOM SET POWERUP COM2 9600 N 8 1 N OFF OFF

GROUPINTERFACEMODE SET POWERUP COM2 NONE RTCM OFF

GROUPFIXPOS SET POWERUP lat lon hgt

GROUPLOG ADD POWERUP COM2 RTCM1 ONTIME 1

Note: enter your own values for lat, lon, and hgt when using GROUPFIXPOS We're done! To start your new POWERUP group you can either:

1.) GROUPUSE START POWERUP

2.) cycle power to the DL-V3 (unplug, plug it back in), and press the red power button Alternative Configuration: If you want the DL-V3 to do a quick position average on startup instead of entering your own fixed coordinates, you can substitute the following line instead of using the GROUPFIXPOS command: GROUPPOSAVE SET POWERUP 0.01
