NovAtel’s SPAN-MEMS line of GNSS + INS products provides a powerful solution for application developers who are looking for continuous position, velocity and attitude, but are faced with weight, size and/or power constraints.

Our compact, light-weight MEMS IMU options, from Honeywell International and Gladiator Technologies, provide a variety of price point and accuracy levels. The sensors are coupled with NovAtel’s SPAN receivers via a small MEMS Interface Card (MIC) to support both power and communications. Designed as a board-stack solution for ease of integration, the MIC can be directly interfaced with NovAtel’s smallest sized receiver, the OEMV-1DF receiver, offering a powerful, compact SPAN engine. Shown below in a board stack configuration, the OEMV-1DF form factor is the optimal choice for size and weight constrained applications.

 The MIC is compatible with NovAtel’s range of SPAN enabled receiver products. Existing SPAN customers can purchase the new MEMS IMUS as standalone units for easy pairing with their SPAN products, such as the SPAN-SE™, the SPAN-MPPC™ and other SPAN-on-OEMV® receivers.

MIC

The new SPAN supported MEMS sensors are coupled with NovAtel’s SPAN receivers via a new compact, lightweight MEMS Interface Card to support both power and communications. Designed as a board stack configuration for ease of integration, the interface card can be directly interfaced to NovAtel’s OEMV receivers, including the small form factor OEMV1-DF Span receiver - providing integrators an extremely compact, powerful GPS/INS engine.

The HG1900 is a gyro-based MEMS IMU manufactured by Honeywell. Economical, robust and small in size, the low power HG1900 provides high end tactical grade performance for commercial and military guidance and navigation applications.

Landmark 20

The LandMark™ 20 is the mid performance model of Gladiator Technologies Landmark™ series of MEMS IMU. It features low noise gyros and accelerometers in a small, light weight and ruggedized environmentally sealed enclosure. The LandMark™ 20 enables precision measurements for applications that require both low cost, high performance and rugged durability in a very small form factor.
