NovAtel Announces New Connect™ PC Application

NovAtel Inc. is pleased to announce NovAtel Connect™, a new windows-based GUI application that provides access to your NovAtel GNSS receiver’s many features without the need for a terminal emulator or to write special software. Connect is our next generation control and data application that is a successor to the popular CDU PC application.

Connect communicates and configures your receiver via USB, Ethernet or serial port connection using a PC running the Windows XP or Windows 7 operating system. Connect can also be used on PCs running the Linux OS, using the WINE emulator utilities.

A Connection Import Tool is included with the installation disk that allows you to import your existing connection settings created using CDU.

New Features in NovAtel Connect:

• Improved screen layout and new look and feel.
• NovAtel button for workspace control and Connect configuration.
• Receiver connections now displayed as tabs which makes it easier to switch between connections.
• Preset window configurations let the user quickly select an optimal display configuration.
• Improved windows manipulation using new “dynamic” and “static” windows styles.
• Light and dark colour schemes to support better viewing in different lighting environments.
• Support for six simultaneous open connections.
